Neil Bernstein, Suffolk County Scholastic Coach Of The Year
Neil Bernstein has been the Girls Varsity Tennis Coach for 3 years at Sayville High School (2004-2007). Before that he was the Girls JV Coach (2001-2003). He has also been the Music Chairperson at Sayville Schools for 18 years.
In 2007, his team had the best season in Sayville HS girls tennis team history. They were the undefeated League III champs, and 2nd in team tournament to Westhampton Beach. There were 10 all League players, 7 ALl county players, and 3 all state players.

Their contributions to the Suffolk County and Long Island tennis community are immeasurable. Jim has consistently provided the best service to recreational and competitive tennis players for more than 30 years. He has been the difference between success and failure for many programs serving Long Island tennis players. So Jim truly deserves this award.
